Happens when you first start car after sitting overnight. Car starts fine at initial start up. Start it, put in reverse, back car out of garage, put in gear, pull away, car jerks real bad when you start to give it fuel. But today, it stalled after driving 100 feet. I tried to restart several times, only way it would start was to hold gas pedal to floor. Drove car back into garage and it was fine, no codes either. I decided to go ahead and go to gym. Never had a problem rest of night. Seems its fine after its warm.
Maybe do an idle re-learn? I swapped out my throttle body with an identical one and had lots of crazy things happen to the driveability. Seems like it ran better after I did it than it ever did before too. Just a suggestion, and its free, less 35 minutes of your time.
No codes...hmmmm...I'm thinking the ignition switch itself as just about everything else should generate codes. Does anything else go amiss at the time?

Only thing is the smoke and bad odor, once its started. But, Im assuming thats from the unburnt fuel loading up from when I have gas pedal floor boarded.
Car starts up perfectly at initial startup. Once its warm, it has NO problems. At cold startup, its only until you put the load on the vehicle does it start to shudder. The shudder isnt like a hesitation. Its like when you roll in first gear and press gas pedal quickly and let off, that sudden jerking feel. And this only does this for like 3 minutes after startup, until its warm
This doesnt sound like an ignition switch issue to me. Im waiting on my scanner and fuel pressure gauge to be RETURNED to me. Damn people that borrow tools. haha
Yeah, then do the idle relearn first and see what happens. Is the air bridge connected securely in place? Might also clean the MAF just in case. The no codes is strange for these indications. The coolant temp, is it reading correctly? I ask because the coolant temp sensor is critically important to the PCM for controlling the mixture.

Today, it started just fine. Ran no problem.
Question: I always use Sunoco gas, but I was out in middle of nowhere the other day and in need of gas. I filled up with BP gas. Could fuel be an issue?
Ill check air bridge etc in a little bit. I did have it off recently when I replaced ac compressor.
I will suggest a PM to Bill Dearborn for your issue as he can probably better assist you. No codes, yet no running intermittently. As you mentioned about the gas...bad gas? There is a gas drying agent you can buy to assist in that if you suspect water in the gas. Is this the first time this has ever happened?

Why would you do this on a fuel injected car? Putting the pedal to the floor is not going to dump more fuel in the cylinders. The injectors don't pulse unless the PCM fires them. If you suspect a cylinder of loading up with fuel, you had better put a pressure gauge on the rail and check for bleed down.

I still dont know why it ever did that. Did it once, as never done it again. I am assuming it was the BP gas. Who knows...

Whatever the explanation, holding the pedal to floor was only way to get it started.
