Default Next mod (approx. $1k), need help

Hey all-
Looking for a little advice on the next mod that I have in mind. Looking into a number of different options, but I want to keep the cost at about $1000 or less. A few different options I've looked into:
1. New LS6 intake manifold
2. New headers
3. New cam (not ready for pnp heads yet)

Any suggestions as to which may be the best idea to work towards and what kind of gains I can expect. I would like to do the heads sometime in the hopefully not to distant future also. Would it be good idea to hold off on the cam and do it at the same time as the heads, and would doing the headers now work well with the h/c later? There seems to be lots of options and I just don't know which one to choose.

Also, doing a little vendor surfing tonight, I've noticed that Tbyrne is advertising a new aluminum Holley LS1 intake manifold that is supposed to be based on the LS6 manifold. Anyone heard or seen anything more on this? Just wondering if it will be the same as a GM LS1 to LS6 manifold change (except for being aluminum). If this is true, I'm thinking the Holley manifold would look great polished :yesnod:

As always, thanks for the advice (in advance :) )

Just an f.y.i, I've already replaced the induction system with an RM Twin Flow and the exhaust with the Corsa Touring setup. Thanks again for any help guys.

I would go with a set of long tube headers. When I got headers/xpipe/exhaust, my vette felt like a new beast. It is much more enjoyable to drive with the extra power and the engine revs a lot better when matching revs on downshifts. This will cost over 1000 though, especially if you do not install them yourself.

Also, have you changed out your plugs and wires yet? My stock plugs were shot at 30k miles. After replacement, I noticed a significant difference.
