So, how many out here have installed your own headers? If not, who did? Just wondering how difficult this is on a C5, I have installed headers on other cars ... but nothing with as much under the hood as the C5 ... any suggestions?
Also, what about the LS6 intake manifold, did you do this as well?
Some headers have flanges that claim no welding ... they are suppose to bolt straight on. Of course others would require welding.
I think I would be trying the type that bolt up. BTW, this time, the mods are for me ;)
I installed the B&B Short headers myself using a set of Rhino ramps and standard hand tools. The B&B directions were quite clear. I took my time over the course of 2 weekends; it helps to have an extra set of hands during some of the installation steps. I had never installed headers before on any car; it was alot of fun. No cutting, welding with the shorties, it was a bolt-on procedure.
