1999 automatic. Last drove the car on Friday. No problems. Went to start it tonight, battery dead. Just a clicking sound. Got it started with a jump starter. Waited about two minutes, put it in reverse, backed up 3 feet, it stalled. Started right up, put it in reverse, stalled again. Connected to a floor model charger for about 1 hour, same thing, stalled when put in gear. Any help would be appreciated.

After spending a lot of time reading many threads on this issue, The
2mph problem went away when I charged the battery to full charge.
Now the issue is why did the battery go dead.
Is it still true that you have a short if you disconnect the possitive battery terminal and connect a test light, one end to the cable and one end to the post and the test light lights up?

you can get an amp meter as well to connect there. i believe that test will work, though. it may pull a little current at first then should dwindle down to almost nothing.
my old car used to do that when the pellet on the key didn't connect correctly for some reason.
