Default ? on the MTI ram air kit

How good is this intake? I have not heard of that many people using it. I have always used the blackwing but I'm thinking of getting a ram air and the MTI looks good. Any info on this intake? Thanks

You will probably get the same performance with the MTI Ram Air as you would the Blackwing. I had the MTI Ram Air in my 99C5 and looked and worked great, but I was always concerned about hydrolock because my car is a daily driver. That's why I now have the Blackwing. I would probably just stick with the blackwing.

I have the MTI True Ram Air Kit on my '01 Coupe. The fit and finish is great and I can tell a difference in power with it in the car. Hydrolock is a concern. Mine is not a daily driver, but if it was, i would be worried about puddles and even really hard rain storms. If I had it to do over, I would still get the MTI, but not if it was a daily driver.

Same here, it's not my daily driver. On the dyno, you will never see any of the minute gains you might receive at speed. There is much arguement on, if the scoop add any beneficial air or not. Since I have it, I believe it does. My bone stock 1/4 time was 14.09@99.8, now down to 12.91@108.83 with just the mods in my sig. I'm happy. My only real problem is the lack of accessibility to the air filter.(tight quarters)
