Look for instructions on installing an aftermarket shifter. You have to remove the console and trim plate to get the shifter out.

You have to remove the console first. There are nuts under covers at the rear of the console, and under the Active Handling switch trim plate. The AH trim plate just snaps in, and you need to remove the wires from the switch and the power port and gas door switch under the console to get the console out.
The radio trim panel has torx head screws behind the AC temp sensor cover to the left of the ignition, and 2 behind the ash tray. The upper part of the trim is held in by clips, so you just pull straight out once you have all the screws out.
