Default Need help with: RFA "NO COMM" DIC code

I bought my 2000 C5 about 3 months ago and just had the following messages show up on the DIC:

“SERV. TIRE MON. SYS.”
“SERVICE VEHICLE SOON”
“CHECK TIRE PRESSURE”

This was after no changes to the car...

I did some searching and saw suggestions that I should reset the tire pressure sensors. I followed the steps, but could not get the DIC to get beyond the “TIRE TRAINING” step. (it would NOT display "Learn L Front Tire")

At that point, I read the DIC codes and got the following:

A0-LDCM H - Left Door Control Module

B2208 H Right Window Down Switch Fault
B2264 H Vertical Position Sensor Fault
B2282 H Battery #1 Fault
B2284 H Battery #2 Fault
U1064 H Loss of Communications with BCM

A1-RDCM - Right Door Control Module

B2283 H Battery #1 Fault
B2285 H Battery #2 Fault
U1064 H Loss of Communications with BCM

B0-RFA - Remote Function Actuation
NO COM

All codes were "H" except the "NO COMM" which had no H or C

I assume the “NO COM” for the RFA is the issue, but I’m not sure what to do next. My understading is the Tire Sensors communicate via the RFA. Some additional info (based on other info I read on this great site )

The key FOB still works, so the RFA must still be functioning (at least partially)

There is no indication of moisture in or around the BCM.

Please help if you have any ideas on what to check next.

Paul

The more I think about it the more I find this part confusing. If the RFA is not communicating with the BCM (hence the Tire pressure sensors not working), Why would the key FOB still work?

Check fuse 27 in the passenger side footwell box.

Check your grounds. Bad grounds cause a variety of crazy electrical faults.

Look at the sticky about the door wiring problem at the accordians. Sounds similar to what I've read about a bare wire in there causing some of these codes and loss of comm's.

Woo-hoo! Problem seems to be solved. So like others suggested, I decided to check the grounds... starting with the neg. battery terminal. Holy cr@p, it was barely finger tight! I cleaned up the batt. terminals. snugged them up and now the "NO COMM." message is gone on the codes. Tire pressures read the right too!

So, as has been said many times before:

CHECK THOSE GROUNDS... AND START WITH THE BATTERY!!

Thanks for all the help,

Paul
