Default Another "Which Headers" question... but with a twist!

So I had this great idea to get actual, real world results for which headers made more power- LG Pros or ARH 1 7/8" headers. My car had ARH headers on it, and I bought a set of used LG Pros with a custom catted x-pipe from a fellow forum member.

The plan was to get my ~480 rwhp 383 Z06 dyno tuned with the ARH headers (which were already on the car), then swap the headers with the LG's and get it tuned for those headers. A couple weeks back, I was actually driving to the dyno to get the first tune done when the timing chain decided to break and take the entire motor with the car. This kind of putted a wrench in the plans.

In light of this, I figured if I had to build another motor, I might as well build a monster. The NEW plan is to build a 440 LS7 and try to get the car up to 600 rwhp N/A. Here is the question- I have these two complete sets of headers, but which ones should I put on the car. I am not going to do the header comparison anymore, as I have different priorities right now (mainly getting the car running again). Which headers do YOU think I should use for the new engine? I am leaning toward the ARH because of their larger primaries, but I would like to get other people's input. Whichever headers get the majority of the votes, those are the ones I am going with. I will sell the other set on this forum.

You want the larger primaries. Is selling both and trying the LG Super Pros an option?

If I were you, I'd keep the ARH headers.

I "third" the motion.....that motor will make more average torque and horsepower with the larger (and shorter) 1 7/8 primary pipes.

The LG 1.75 looooongtubes work extremely well but some applications call for a different design....yours is one of them.

Why yes, yes they are. You have a pretty good memory! I will let you know if/when I decide to sell them.

I have to agree with all you guys- the 1 7/8" seem to be better for my application. I just wanted to double check what others thought before making the decision of one over the other.
