Default Steering column lock

Going to install CLB.(had steering column lock code and fuel shutoff is set at 2mph& K harness GM put in failed)I have been doing some research and some Corvette owners seem to think installing CLB will cause BCM failure(or other problems).Does anybody have any info about this?Would like to know before I install CLB.

I have read many times on this forum that some 1997 & 1998 C5’s do have trouble with the CLB functioning properly.

Contact “Corvettes Of Houston” at (281) 821-1222 they are a forum sponsor/vendor. They will have the answer for you.

I have had some trouble with the CLB in my 97. I get the pull key quite a bit and once in a while the service column lock. I just tuned out the fuel cutoff so it will still run normal. Just be sure the lock plate is removed if you have the fuel cutoff tuned out. I used EFI Live. I could probably tune yours out if you wanted, just have to send me the pcm. I would just have to plug your pcm in to my vette to do it, no big deal really

For the $400.00 it is a full tune. They said they just couldn't change fuel shut off setting would have do to a full tune. What is involved in a full tune?Is it worth getting done?Do you recommend doing a full tune?

That's a bit much money. With EFI Live I can tune 97-98 cars for free. If ya ever decide you want it done just let me know, I can also change other things to help the car perform better also.
