Dimmer wire for autometer guages installation help.
I just spent the last hour reading post's about getting the right wire for dimming aftermarket gauges. I just want to confirm this before I go through with it. The Best conclusion I have come up with is. Replace the bulbs with led lights and wire to yellow wire off climate control. If you do not replace the bulbs. The old bulbs draw to much power and cause problems I know there is also some wires on the traction control and active handling that work as well. Let me know if there is a new way or better of doing this

I wired my EL glow faceplates to the Dimmer **** output. Dark Blue and Black wire off the back of the Dimmer/HUD switch pack...
There's supposed to be an "extra" imllumination wire out of the HVAC also, it's Tan...

Thanks for everyones help. I found that the brown, not purple wire goes on and off with my lights. This wire is located on the harness to the trunk button. I will not have the light dim, but at least they will go off and on with my lights. They will not stay on all the time like my last car.
