Default Long Vs Short Injector ?

What is the difference in a long injector vice a short LS1 injector? Is the long EV1 injector a direct drop in (no rigging) or do I need shorts?

You can't put significantly shorter injectors on your stock fuel rails, or they won't bolt back down. I would think longers ones would be a problem as well. I got aftermarket Racetronics, which were only about 1/32 longer, and they barely seated into the FAST manifold, not sure about the stock LS6 mani.

60 pounds per hours is a pretty big injector, what are you building?

According to their specs, the electrical plug is compatible, but this doesn't address the length issue. At the bottom is a list of equivalent models. If the factory ones are on the list, then OK, but....
I think the long/short LS1 reference was to the earlier, versus later models. They changed to a non-return fuel system about 1999 and maybe the rail was different then?

If you're looking for an LS1 length 60# Injector EV1, we carry the FAST 60's ($375). They're actually the same thing as Siemens. This is a direct replacement for an LS1/LS6 fuel rail. In stock.
