'04 Climate Control Illumination bulb type
I have an '04 and the illumination (not the display, it's fine) does not work. I did a search and read through the various write-ups, but wasn't sure what type of bulb is used in the late C5 climate control illumination as I saw two different types mentioned.
Is it a solder in type LED or is it the push in style ? If it's the solder type, I would have to have someone else do it, but the push type I would happily tackle.
Thanks in advance,
Ernie

The best match is a 70ma 12vdc lamp. Forum member "Tstar" has the best source of supply for the lamps.

Thanks for the info ! Is this something a soldering newb should attempt ? I've done some basic stuff, but not skilled by any means whatsoever.

Sure if you have some experience and the tools... no problem! A low wattage pencil iron and a solder sucker will do the trick!
Remember to replace all 14 at once or you'll be in there replacing more shortly afterwards...

Cool, thanks for the link and info !! I'm surprised they're not LED's, but miniature incandescents.

Yeah that's why the LED Mod is so popular... BIG difference.
