I have done some searching, it appears it could be a vacum leak. I checked the vacum lines under the battery tray, and through the access panel at the canister, all lines look good, etc.
Is there spot inside the car I can check with everything together and the car running to see if there is vacum?
Where is the line behind the intake? I tried looking but it's so crammed back there I didn't see a vacum line for that coming out of the main harness....
Hi, The source vacuum line is on the top rear of the intake manifold pass side at the back of it. Check the pictures in the link for a better idea of where it is and what it looks like. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...nge-vents.html, Thats the place to start, because that is where the vacuum starts. If you want to see if there is vacuum there, go back to the lines under the battery and check the line that comes from the manifold for vacuum, if there is none there, then it's a good bet that the line is disconnected from the manifold nipple or broken along the way. Usually it is at the nipple that the problem is there. If there is vacuum at the line from the manifold, check the line coming from the tank into the car and see if it has vacuum, if not then the problem is in between the tank and manifold, and so on down the road. The vacuum block that you can see in the pictures in the link is behind the glove box under the dash by the driver side panel. the purple line coming from the block goes to the line coming in from the tank.
Good Luck
The most common cause of this problem is the vacuum lines under the battery tray. They are prone to battery acid exposure, and chaffing on a wire bundle. Pull the battery and tray, and inspect. Physically feel the lines with your fingers as the damage may not be visible from the top looking down.

I have already pulled the tray and battery, in wrapped the main harness and done all the inspections. All wires and vacum lines look good. There is next to none evidence of battery acid down there.
Thanks for all the help. I'll be sure to update as I find out the solution to help future searchers....
