My car is making a rattling noise that sounds like a throwout bearing. Only thing is usually with a rattling throwout bearing it does it with the clutch out and then goes away when you push it in. On mine it doesn't make the noise except when you have the clutch pushed in all the way.
It's got a Ram twin disk that's been in there for a few thousand miles and it just started making the noise. Any thoughts?
Most any Corvette clutch I have heard seems to be noisy when out, quiet when in especially when you shut it off. Do you know anyone else with a Vette? You can listen and compare.

I do have an '03 Z06 also but it's all stock and makes no noise. The weird thing about this is it's quiet when it's out, only makes the noise when the pedal is pushed down enough to release the clutch.
Since it was quiet up until yesterday I mainly just wanted to make sure it's not going to hurt anything. The car has a DTE stage 3 tranny and I'd hate to mess it up.
The clutch should not make noise when the pedal is depressed, this condition is typically indicative of a bad throwout bearing. Depressing the clutch pedal loads the bearing thus increasing the noise if the bearing is bad, at least this has been my experience anyways.
You have a twin disk clutch that has even more parts that can rattle around, I recommend you pull the inspection cover and have a look.
