Automatic tranmission removal
Can you remove the transmission (and torque tube) from a C5, while it's on a ramp type lift?
The car doesn't have to be sitting on it's wheels, I can have it on jackstands, but everything I've seen shows the tranny, torque tube, and everything attached to the rear cradle being removed while the car is on a two-post lift.
I don't have a two-post lift. I DO have a drive on lift.
I'm operating under the assumption that the Supercharger install we did awhile back will put a heavier load on the transmission and shorten it's life expectancy. Especially since I like to decide which gear it should be in. The tune for the supercharger limits downshifts above 70 mph to only third gear. I can see requesting 2nd at WOT would be _Bad_, obviously since they tuned it to not do that. But I'll request second, blip the throttle, and wait to mash on the gas until after the gear's engaged.
That said, I could see it eventually causing issues that need fixing.
