Power Door Lock Issue (Help)
A friend of mine has 98 C5 with the factory alarm system. He arms the remote and the car locks normal but a few minutes later it unlocks on its own then locks again. He tried purchasing a new remote from the dealer but that didn't do anything. Has anyone had this problem before?

does it do this everytime? how long does it take for it to lock and unlock after the initial lock? If it were me I would roll down the window and run the tech 2 thru to the dlc and look at the bcm inputs after i locked the doors with the remote. see if there are any crazy inputs before it starts doing the phantom unlock/lock.. good luck.

It starts acting up a few minutes after he locks the car then it will just unlock and lock the doors manually. Is this a sign of a bad body control module? Trying to figure this out before spending a fortune at the dealer.
