Got the CLB installed and now can rest easy. A recall had been done on the car before I got it so I thought I was good to go until reading all the threads about the dreaded column lock. Ordered a CLB from Corvettes of Houston installed it but had a slight issue called them and they directed on what to do and now all is well, for this part anyway.
Next for me is to relocate the oil sender.
For your oil sending unit, if you're not having a problem I would suggest not changing anything just yet. Some of the senders will last longer then others. Having things on hand to correct it if something happen might not be a bad idea, but for me I'll wait until it fails. Just my humble opinion.
