shift boot - C5 six speed

Back to my inquiry of a couple of weeks ago, does anyone have an extra retaining ring to hold the shift boot in place. I need one (C5) as a template to machine it. GM does not supply, nor do the aftermarket organizations that I have sourced at. The only way to get it is to order the boot as well, but I already have a new boot from Corvette Central, but the old retainer was cracked (assume heat) and broken in a number of places.

Of course if someone has one for sale or knows where I can get one, that would be much easier !!

I'm stuck in the same boat! My boot flops around each shift, extremely annoying and embarrassing.

Let me know if you have any luck producing these.
