R6_C5_ML430,
Did you get any answer back from your vendor?
We have 2 official buyers, should I count you in?
Angel

I got an email from Chris K today (Speed Demon), this is what he said:

<<It will probably be a day or two before I find anything out. If I hear something today, I will let you know>>

I would like to wait to see what Chris K can work up for us if we can wait a couple of days - unless there is some reason we have to rush...is there?

I got an email from Tom at TByrne, this is what he said:

<<Our sale price for the HO kit is $5699.99.>>

I sent price requests to Nate with XMotorsports and Nick with Agostino, but I have not heard back from them yet.

I am definitely going to buy, just not sure from whom yet. I also have a C5 buddy that is interested as well.

I did not say I was, I said if I could get 3 at $5000 and use my card to get the air miles, I would be prepared to lay out the money to get them for the price I wanted. I dont want anyone to lose money.

This is what I was referring to -

[quote]OK, Once more. I can get them at $5400. I have it in writting!!!!!!!! /quote]

I'm just going to watch and see how this rides out. I spoke with ATI today and asked if there is any additional discounts for ordering 10 or 20 kits at time. The person I would make the final call on this wasn't in but from what they have seen and done there isn't any other discounts available so I really can't see how anyone is going to be able to sell one of these for $5200. I know that everyone wants to get the best deal that they can but when you look at it on a business standpoint. Why would a company either lose money or only make $75. on a $5000+ product. Can't keep the doors open to long by doing that. Actually isn't destroying the whole price structure. As an example, we end up selling kits to customer cheaper than we sell other other companys (jobbers).

Good luck and I hope everyone finds a price that they are happy with.

If you really want one, just buy it. I am getting a few kits. Companies have to stay in business here and make a little money or they will not be around. You are talking less then a 4% discount of a few hundred dollars, not worth the trouble or worth causing trouble. All the vendors here give great service, we want to keep them around.................

I've got a degree in marketing and I've been in sales and sales management for 28 years and this is the damndest thing I've ever seen. Let's get a hell of a deal but not tell anyone who the supplier is or what the price is.

Sorry Peach, I was trying to add a little humor. I don't fault you, but you have to admit that to an outsider reading these threads this must really look funny.

I agree, I could not sell my customers houses here and not tell them who the builder is. But, if you asked me to keep it quite, I would respect your wishes.

Ours is not to reason why?????????

BTW, I have just ordered my system for a price Im happy with.

I am very pleased with Speedworks in N. Dallas. I have no idea what it would cost for labor only. Their number is below.

I am very interested. What kind of vendor support are we looking at for $5,400? From the vendors I talked to today, at $5,400 someone is losing money. If I were the vendor, I sure won't stand behind that product for that price.

Peach,
Good to see you come to your senses and raise your priorities $900 from the original $4500 you would only pay  Why don't you and Angelito Reyes at least tell us who the vendor(s) is/are? Are they at least supporting vendors? My guess is that they bought/ordered quite a few kits before the price increase and are now making a bit more money than before since no one in there right mind would sell a product over $5000 just to make $50-$75. Thanks.

AJ
