Peach,
Good to see you come to your senses and raise your priorities $900 from the original $4500 you would only pay  Why don't you and Angelito Reyes at least tell us who the vendor(s) is/are? Are they at least supporting vendors? My guess is that they bought/ordered quite a few kits before the price increase and are now making a bit more money than before since no one in there right mind would sell a product over $5000 just to make $50-$75. Thanks.

AJ

Still making assumptions.......Im afraid you are way off on this one. But, Im happy to have it finally decided and am looking forward to much sillyness when installed.

Default Just Bought ATI P-1SC HO Kit

I have to give credit to Peach for putting together a sweetheart of a deal. I just got off the phone with Peach's vendor (who IS a Forum Vendor) and ordered my ATI P-1SC HO Intercooled kit (complete with all the trimmings). The price was just as Peach stated - $5,400 + shipping (which turned out to be ~$90). FYI, there is about a 2 - 3 week lead time on these kits.

For those of you interested in this deal, get with Peach. He will point you in the right direction.

Yea, it does seem to be $500-$800 less than all the other prices. Hard work pays off sometimes.

Peach,
Just glad to hear you decided. With the Cartek heads and cam you have, what compression are you at? I would say around 11-1 since most of them are and if that is the case, you should really consider redoing the heads for lower compression. You may be better off getting the race kit so it can be custom tuned fore the heads and cam no matter what the compression if it is more than stock.
Are you getting Mike at Norris Motorsports to do the install as Doug asked earlier? I know he is doing that MTI heads/cam car for tscales soon and should have a handle on it. Thanks

Angelito,

As I stated a few posts up, I already ordered my kit this morning through Peach's connection. I don't need two kits, so pull me from your GP list. Good luck to you with your GP.

Thanks,

Not sure where you have been. We have ours already ordered and for a fair price. If you get it cheaper and you can have the extra protection of using a major credit card, go for it. Good luck with your GP.....Our orders have nothing to do with your GP

Default Re: GP for ATI SC (EdwardETraylorIII)

I must pass on this GP. I have just inked a deal with my local dealer to trade up to an '01 ZO6 with shorties, intake, and 4K on the clock. Prior owner apparently had money to waste and had to have a '02 EB Z. I need my $$$ for the trade and the Z is the preferred route for me, esp. at the $38K price. Can ya blame me? :D :D :D

This is a joke.
Now, having weaseled out :bb , I have this to say: This iGP s a hell of a deal, and these guys have worked hard to get it done. Looks like they called the vendors' bluff and got the price that is APPROPRIATE for this kit.

So instead of all the negativity and  and all that silly nonsense, why don't you guys all give Peach and Reyes a big hand for having the sense to question retail prices and save you money.

Vette owners already have the rep on the LS1 board of being rich dorks who are willing to overpay for BS mods. Don't believe me, just go there and check out a few threads. Bagging on one of our own who is trying to get us all a better deal just reinforces that stereotype (truth?) and makes us look silly.

CoolSS: You apparently don't own a Vette. Why all the interest and skepticism? Are you a vendor or affiliated with ATI? Just wondering...you have an unusual degree of interest in the pricing and mechanics of a mod that doesn't even apply to your vehicle.

TT,
No more skeptical then others here. I had an SS Camaro a bit ago and am now waiting to see if a 50th or C6 is next. I guess I get to wondering who folks are when the seem to be secretive about vendors or pricing. I didn't criticize them, just asked and put out my opinion on how they got it done. The original GP thread Peach did he sounded like a 2 year old, but this time he has his ducks in a row for sure it seems and it is working and deserves congratulations. Not the original price he wanted, but avery low price for sure. By the way, not a vendor here, but TByrne spoke up about that anyways.
If you read my second post, I think its great that they got a good price they are now happy with and figured I would ask Peach about his combo to see what he thought. Whether he shares it with me or anyone is up to him for sure. I figured the questions about his compression and using the race kit and such are pertinant to his situation and hopefully he is considering these possible hurdles to minimize any headaches. HHM

Im not sure why it is bothering you as to who stepped up to the plate to supply these units. At thier request I have kept their identity quiet. Not for some James Bond type of nonsense. They must have their reasons. You keep on making derogatory remarks about me. Perhaps it's time to stop before we meet????

As for my car and any work I will have done, I have it covered, thank you.

Peach,

I think that's what important.

Sometimes people are trying to wrangle a special deal for themselves by signing up others for a higher price. It doesn't sound like you were but that has happened here more than once. Like all of a sudden, someone is rootin and tootin their horn about the great install they got at Tuner X and here's my audio of my exhaust and look at this dyno graph when what they are really doing is trying to deliver on a special deal they got.

I don't think 100 or 200 bucks is particularly a significant difference on a piece of gear like this. I'd be MUCH more concerned about availability and who is reputable enough to do the install. THAT could make a difference in the 1000's ultimately and a go/no go on your being happy with your investment.

Not aimed at you Peach. Just for the group.

That sounds like a great price. I'm still curious about:
1.) The difficulty of the install
2.) The need or not of keying the crank
3.) Any issues with 91 octane and real high temps, i.e., Phoenix in the summer.

Anyone?

I'm very interested for $5200 + shipping. I've been shopping various vendors for this unit. So far TByrne has the best price of $5699.99

Peach,
I was just trying to help you out and if it is all figured, then great for you. As far as the vendor name, maybe you just like being in control, but if the vendor were to come on here with the details, it would take away a lot of pecimism for sure. I believe the vendors are to pay a certain percentage of GP's done through this board to the administration and are thereby getting around it somehow.
For the derogatory remarks, in my opinion you WERE acting like a two year old in the previous GP thread. But you did get what you seem happy with and I did congrdulate you. You could have gotten the kit for $200 less with Angelito and I do not understand why you didn't go that way. Once again, your choice and no big deal. When others said in the first GP price it can't be done, you got upset. In this thread you told Angelito "It cant be done, the price is $5400."
Perhaps things have come full circle here. I would not be threatening also. Good Luck on it all. DA
