Last Saturday I'm on the way home and take the turn in to the subdivision with an agresisve 90 degree right followed by an immediate 90 degree left.
As I go up the hill I get a bad sound like something is wrapped aroung my half-shaft. whap..whap..whap. I shift to neutral and still have the same whap..whap..sound. Then It's gone.
I get it in the garage and look at brakes, suspension, wheel wells, half-shafts, tires, etc. (didn't put is on jack stands though)
I take it for a test drive and...no problems.
I take it out the next day and it's raining (didn't want to take the truck out because it's twice the hassle to wash that the C5)
O.K. here's the problem...I leave a stop sign an get some slip but no traction control activatied on DIC. Then I notice something is not right. When I slowly pull out the drivetrain is just not right. So I shift to higher gears like4th, 5th & 6th and the car bucks like crazy.
I would put the car up on jack stands, take off the wheels and yank on all the suspension parts to see if anything is loose. Also check your exhaust. Mine was misaligned after having LT's, xpipe and catback instaleld and made a noise I can't really describe, but it sounded like nothing I had heard before from a car. Only happened on left turns. Turns out the over axel pipe was too close to one of the sides and was banging only on left turns. The way I found this was by raising the car and shaking everything vigorously.
