Default oil filter question

Switching from a upf 44 to the napa 1042 or the napa nascar 191042,which is best and what is the difference between the two? Besides price. These are made by Wix.

I believe the NAPA 'Gold' is the one to use........It's the one I use.......believe it has better filtration than their 'Silver' or 'NASCAR' filter.

After alot of looking on web sites I am going with the Wix 51042.

Found a great site for all Wix filters at a great price. Ordered for all my cars and trucks.

WIX is what I use on all my cars, including the Z06.
I can buy them locally for the same or less than ordering them when you include freight.

Wix are good, but all the test results indicate the K&N and Mobil 1 filters are a tad better. This guy has a great web site for oil and air filter test results and discussions:

I buy 5-10 WIX at a time for my cars online and the total per filter price is much lower than local buy.......but this only works when you buy several filters at a time.

NAPA usually sells their filters each spring at 50-60% off....

I buy 12 at a time Napa Gold 1042

I would have to order at least 5 filters to break even with a $10 shipping charge. I like to keep an extra filter, but not that many.
