Default Gas gauge errors.

The low fuel warning comes on and the gauge reads below " E ". But I still have at least 5 gallons in the tank. Any Ideas?

Common Problem/TSB - most likely the Infamous Fuel Sender Unit failure problem. Take it to the dealer. He'll know what to do. I can't believe these problems are still happening on 2001 models. Unbelieveable!!! This really make me mad at GM.

Me too, twice in one week. Do the dealers usually stock these and how big a deal is it to change?

It happened on my 2002...and I only have 1100 miles on it!!! Happened once in 13500 miles on my 1999.

Totally stupid. Typical GM. They've known about the problem for three years, but it's cheaper to keep replacing them.

This is not only a GM issue. Other vehicles are experiencing this.
