a cage/roll bar that is not attached to the frame is a waste of money.

Yes it does....

Z06. The factory hoop behind the driver held up great.

ok. y'all have convinced me to look for something else to track! i'm not that serious, i just want to try it and get it out of my system. the first pdx i flagged, the trainee didn't listen to his instructor and put too much power down in nascar turn 3 at gateway and put a nice street viper into the wall. i was sure then that i would never track my vette but i am having trouble fighting the urge. not that i can do any better! i guess there is always my wife's prius any body can make a fast car go fast, the skill is in making a slow car go as fast as possible

I haven't been impressed with the Wolf bars due to the way they are attached to the floor. The best roll bar installations I have seen are ones done by ECS. I saw a couple they installed in Verts at Corvettes at Carlisle a couple of years ago. The main hoops are fastened to the B pillar and not the floor. That is where GM engineers recommend a bar be attached in either the Coupe or Vert. I had some pictures somewhere but haven't been able to find them. ECS is a forum vendor so you could send them an e-mail for pictures and costs.

My car before the previous owner got tired of the hassle with the roll bar at every track. It was a Wolf four point.

He went with a Z06 in it's place.

Jim

That is just viper owners. I went to a viper days event, and my student was an older guy, 60s, and his first event with his new viper.

I went up to him to introduce myself as his instructor, and he saw that I was a corvette driver.

He said, err I want a Viper driver. a Professional Viper racer as my instructor.

I said, OK not a problem. Lets go find so and so and get you fixed right up

Third lap out with HIS Professional Viper instructor / racer, he totaled his brand new Viper comp Coup. Man I am sorry to see that happen to such a cool car, but I am glad I was not in that viper.

Note Just kidding to Viper owners. too big of ego, too much HP, and not listening to the instructor, = and

then for the stupid thing they did.

I cant imagine a bolt in that would work. I knwo what it took to custom fab my bar in.. Its a 6 pt welded in.

I think it still looks great in street trim... and... its SAFE
