Default Lowering my 02 vert! How much?

I'm going to lower my vert, but how much do I have to turn the bolt's to get 1 1/2'' drop? I no I have to either cut the bushing's in the back or get longer bolt's. Is there a "rule of thumb" on how many thread's left showing? THANKS

Cut the rear bushings or get longer bolts, it makes no difference to the ride.
I cut mine cause $39 for bolts is a waste. The stock bolts have a ton of room.

For the rears cut the upper and lower bushings in half. You'll see there is plenty of bushing left for a cushion. Take em off and cut em with a hack saw on the work bench and then sand the ends smooth. Done

For the fronts, turn the adjusters all the way till the rubber bushing snugs up against the composite leaf spring, then cut the 1st rib off. You can do this while they are on the car with a small serated knife and a lot of patience.

I have a 2 finger space between the top of the wheel and the fender on the rear. I have a 3 finger space in the front. If you take the 2nd rib off you can get it lower but I was concerned about metal coming through the rubber bushing and grinding on the leaf spring..
