Default Replacing Crankshaft Sensor on C5 Procedure

Okay guys I didn't see a previous post on replacing the crankshaft sensor so after doing this I thought it would be helpful to others to put together a short procedure for replacing the Crankshaft sensor..

first thing to note is that the crankshaft sensor is located AFT on the Starter.. which means that the starter must be removed before accessing sensor..

Second, if you have long tube header as I do you will first need to remove the passenger side header before you can access the starter..this is not very difficult but just adds a few step in replacement of sensor.. before you can actually pull the header out YOU will need to remove the passenger side coil pack asembly. once you have remove the coil pack you should be able to pull out the Header from the top of the motor..

Once the passenger side header and starter are removed the Crankshaft sensor is right there... There is only 1 bolt holding the sensor... once you remove that bolt rotate the sensor 90% degrees clockwise and you should be able to pull it out... It should be a 90% angle plug...

that's pretty much it...
