Are C5 shocks the same as C6?

Are C5 shocks the same as C6?
Like the title says im just curious. they appear to be the same looking at pictures but im not 100% sure. i passed on a deal for c6 coilovers b/c i was not sure. I just want to know if this deal appears again should i bite? Thanks

No the shocks are different . The C6 Z06 shocks ( late model 2007)that are on all three (3) of my C5es ( two 2000 FRCes and the 2001 Z06) work fine, BUT all three are at OEM ride height ( not lowered).
The C6 shocks are 3/8" taller than the OEM C5 shocks. How do i say this ? I cut the lower part of the upper mount bushings in half so that the ride height is exactly the same as the C5 OEM ride height. Make sense? Anyway the shock give a good ride for less money than the firmer 2004 Z06 shocks.
