Check Tire Rack or Gene Culley. I got 4 of them from Tire Rack for $62 ea back in July. They were 315Mhz TPMS sensors - don't remember the name (Wagner?) but they were an orange color and listed for the "99 vette. They trained in 5sec ea when I programmed them from the DIC/computer and work great. I went the replacement battery route on my 2 rear sensors but didn't have any luck. I was extremely careful and have worked in the electronics servicing field for over 40 years so I know I didn't damage anything. After the tire unmount/remount fee, if it doesn't work, you'll pay twice! In my opinion, you are better off going with new ones.

Reason: addition
I remember several years ago of a forum member who would tear the sensor apart and put a new battery in them for cheap.. I'm not sure if he is even still around.. You might try doing a search or maybe someone else out there can remember who it was
I was at a full service walmart last weekend and saw an advertisement announcing that they sold and serviced all TPS. Check out that route. Having your sensors repaired is another money saving way.
Not trying to waste time but is there a way to test the sensors after changing batteries, but before installing new tires on wheels?, i was thinking of having old tires removed from wheels, put in new batteries, then mount just wheels onto car and then run car up to 30 mph, being careful of course to have lugs tight and car sitting on jack stands as if car was being driven, then mount other two wheels on rear and set up same way, and then program to car after tires mounted on wheels., do you guys think that will work, thanks topkattkg...

go to the reprogamming mode and see if the car honks it's horn
Does anyone have an old set of 97-00 TPMS sensors laying around? I'm looking for at least two candidates for replacing batteries. I just did all of mine. I'd like to have a spare or two when I change tires next.
