Default Help with CCW wheels & tires

I just came across a set of CCW classic wheels and almost new tires for $1300... This seems like a great deal to me, but the tire sizes are 315/30ZR18 up front and 335/30ZR18 in the rear. Will these fit my C5 without modification? If so, will they look rediculous? Any help will be appreciated!

Nope you need a mini tube to fit the rears and the front wont even come close to fitting. Are you sure those wheels are C5 offset? Sound like Viper or something?

The guy says they are off of a C5 that was used for SCCA. Still doesn't seem right to me.

Guess it is possible. Have you seen them? If they were race wheels I am sure they are ragged pretty good. For that price they should be. Hell you could get them, polish them up good and have a decent setup if the wheels are not wider than 11 up front and 12 in the rear you should be alright. Might want to wait for some wheels gurus to chime in or visit the racing section. Those guys know for sure how far you can go before mods must be made.

Nahh

Just take out the rear brake duct for the 335s

315s fit up front, but unless your running -2* camber or more like -3* camber they will stick out a bit

I've just seen pictures. They seem to be in good shape. Says the center caps are not original with the wheels. Remove brake ducts?

Yup

Remove the rear Z06 brake ducts. The inside parts, if you have them.

rear 315s or 335 s wont fit with the brake duct in place

Those look in great shape.

Mine are more 'seasoned" then those

It will be tight.

I run simular

front

18x12 with either 18x305/30 or 18x315/30

Rear
18x13 with 18x335/30 or 18x345/30

in front forget turning lock to lock, it cant be done. Especially with front brake cooling ducts

so dont turn lock to lock

Rear, you WILL rub out your inner wheel well line. Big deal No one looks in there

Question to ask the seller is

"How many heat cycles on the tires?"

R compounds are not measured in miles but heat cycles

It depends on the offset of the wheels. I have CCW classics and have run 335's all the way around. Front hit the fender lip on a hard bump but no rubbing on the rears (no tub).

I don't recommend 335's up front. Turn-in sucks.

This was track-only BTW.
