I've had tons of DTCs lately relating to the serial data line (radio doesn't work, traction and active handling off, no AC clutch engagement, no working oil - fuel - and temp gauges, reduced engine power, no driver door controls, etc., until I cycle the ignition). Just before these started, my passenger door (lock, window, mirror, etc.) stopping working altogether. I never did test the data line for high voltage or short to ground when the problems would arise, but I did disconnect the passenger door control module today, at the module itself. Everything seemed to work just fine since.
Are these modules known to go bad, and is there anywhere else in the line I should check before I get another one? I am sure it is related to the passenger door module, because no matter what I do, I cannot get the DIC to communicate with the module. Now that it's disconnected, however, the rest of the systems seem to communicate just fine.
Any thoughts?

Before you replace it, I THINK those modules can sometimes be repaired. Seems like I saw something about it on this forum but can't remember the post. Try a search or maybe someone else remembers it.
I recently had the same problem. In my case, I was not able to repair the modules. Its a dealer part that will cost you about 400. The thing is, if you replace one side, you need to replace the other too. I logged on to ebay motors and got both, brand new, for about $220. They are to be delievered to my house on wednesday. Im hoping that replacing them will slove all my problems. I will keep you guys posted.

I've seen them on Ebay, let me know how they work out. Also, if the RH only is bad, why do they both need to be replaced??
Ok, so I've since checked the connector in the accordion boot between the door and bulkead. It seemed to be ok, but I taped and insulated it (and the data wire) just in case. I plugged everything back in, and voila!, the window/lock/mirror all work. Everything seems to be working ok for now, but I am still getting a U1064 fault from the RFA. I am beginning to wonder if the RFA was the culprit all along. Like I said, everything is working fine at the moment, so I plan to continue driving it until it becomes an issue. Has anyone seen this issue before? It seems as though it's beginning to turn into more of a project than initially anticipated....
