hi guys, anyone with instructions or know how to replace a blown stock fog light, cost, etc. Or should i just buy some piaa's . How the the cost compare to stock. thanks
If you want to replace just the bulb itslef, the part number for the factory bulb is 893. If you want to upgrade to 50w bulbs the part number is 885. I tried the hyper white bulbs for the fogs and they blew after two months...just bought the 885's the day before yesterday and put them in. BIG DIFFERENCE. I adjusted the angle on the fogs using the alignment screw and they make a big difference.
To remove the old bulb(s) you will have to take off the headlamp bezels, there are three screws holding them on, two on the inboard side and one on the outboard side. After removing them, reach down to the fog lights and turn the bulbs to release them from the housing (they might be in there pretty tight)...lift up the tab on the wiring harness and remove the old bulbs, the tricky part is plugging in the new bulbs without getting them dirty...I just wrapped mine up in tissue when handling and then finally took it off just before plugging back in. The 885's cost $7.00 ea. at Autozone or $7.99 ea. at PepBoys. Hope that helps.
Hi RACER-X-C5,
I bought my replacement bulb at Wal-mart in the auto bulb section. It was around $2 bucks. It's been in for months now with no problems. It's easy to replace when you find it inside the bumper area. Hope you have small arms, though.

Man you paid $2 for each bulb? Man I got ripped off...hopefully these won't bust but if they do...I'll go to Wal-Mart. Planning on hopefully getting the PIAA's soon...but until then...will have to deal with the 885's :yesnod:
If you can, go for the PIAA's. I had them installed a couple of months ago when I had a nose job done. One really cool feature of the PIAA's is that you can see reflective signs and police cars from a lot further away than with the stock fogs. These feature came in handy a few weeks ago as I was driving home from drinking with the MA guys. I was doing about 95 on 495 and when I was about 1/2 mile behind, I could see that there was a Statie cruising along up ahead. That gave me lots of time to slow down. :D :D :D
