Default Heater / control ?? problems

I had my HAVC controls re-solded back in the spring (by a prof.) a/c worked fine / everything I thought was fine // last week went for a ride and needed heater and had only hot / warm air pass. side // the auto control would not let me set my controls to recirculate air // only fresh air settting // driver side was getting only outside air and was not warm / while pass. side worked OK // called the PROF. and he going to get back to me BUT in the mean time does anyone have ideas.... much thanks.
