Default FAST Intake Installation, HELP?!

So I have taken off and replaced many a C5 intake manifold. So when I received my own FAST Intake, excited I went ahead and threw it on. Being a man, it wasn't till after the job was complete that I read the instructions.
It mentions reassembling your upper and lower manifold with shorter bolts upon receipt. Is this necessary? Do I really need to take the manifold off and reassemble it?
If it's not a big deal, then I have bigger and better things to work on in the Vette. But if these bolts are sticking out somewhere restricting airflow, ruining my $800 purchase, then yes, I'll do it over.
Thanks guys.

I hope you're not referring to the valley cover bolts. If you didn't change those to the low profile ones, you'll have air leaks, and a broken bottom shell. If you're talking about the mounting bolts, I prefered the stock ones to the allen heads that were provided.

I am referring to the apparent (16) M6 internal bolts, are those the valley cover bolts? Sounds like I'll have to take it apart again huh...

Take the manifold off, and hope the lower shell isn't cracked.

You NEED the low-profile bolts, you can pick them up at any hardware store.

The valley cover is the flat silver thing under the manifold, that has the knock sensors/wires. If you didn't change out the bolts that attach this cover, you may have an expensive problem. If you're talking about the bolts that hold the 3 piece FAST manifold together, then no problem.

Well back from the garage. Thankfully, the lower shell wasn't cracked. Next time I'll read the instructions prior to installation. I appreciate everyone's help. That's why I love this website. thanks guys.
