Is stock LS1 engine strong enough????
First of all, please forgive me my ignorance.
I am interested in lager tires and wheels than stock.
Rear - 295/35/19x10.5" & Front - 265/35/18x9.5"
Is the stock LS1 engine strong enough to handle larger tires and
wheels? Any downside I should expect due to them?

IMO, the LS1...especially with mods will fry the stock rear's at will.
The guy's with H/C pkg's have trouble hooking up and often will only take on challege's from a 40 mph punch.

The only downside is the cost of 19" tires.
Even a stock LS-1 should be able to fry at will :D

I can vouch for that.
