Coolant temperature gauge hunting causing very rough idle
I dont know what the deal is but my coolant temperature gauge is all over the place. Every once in a while it will settle around normal temp but doesnt stay for long. It will drop off to the left peg and creep back up. Its all over the place. It seems to be causing the car to run like sh**. I mean it idle anywhere from near stall to 1800 RPM's. Just started today so I havent driven it. Should I just replace the sensor? Im not getting any codes!!

Check the voltage of your CTS...wiggle the wires around while your doing it...you might have a shorted wire. Voltage should be around 5V cold and 1v Hot. Your car is probbaly running lean or rich because of it.
