this is on the inside of my hood front left hand side but noting is connected to it, should there be ?

Another mystery? i found this just under and behind my alternator, and the plug does not look like it belongs there !!

Juliano, is this a test, put that camera up, and save for a good day!
First pix is just the head of one of the bolts that hold the cradle on the bottom. Second is a Temp Sensor, with part of the housing broken off.

on a side note......based on the pictures, and the amount of corrosion...I would be taking a look at those grounds

Lucky is advising cleaning Grounds like this. Take it loose, remove top cover, clean all contacts and apply some Dielectric greese to it.

Yep, and replace that coolant temp sensor....eventually that will work it's way off.

Did you just buy this car or what?

Yes i just bought it, and i know " 0 " about them so excuse me for not knowing, I will take you guys advise and replace that sensor and also clean off the ground where it's pointed out on the picture Thank you guys again...

I've got over 150,000 miles and that area on mine doesn't look anything CLOSE to that.

Maybe you should be looking at that being an Illinois car. Can you say "road salt" or "road chemicals"?
