Strange chassis vibe, any thoughts?
Well 'Vette pro's, I need your help. My '00 manual coupe has a very unusual vibration and I have no idea what it could be. It's strange in that I only feel it in 6th gear, and it isn't a constant vibration, but rather the vibe fades in and out every second or two. I've ruled out the road surface, it happens everywhere. I don't know if it's speed related, but I have driven a constant speed in 5th and that same speed in 6th, and it only happens in 6th. I feel it in the seat, and some through the steering wheel. Also the faster I go, the faster the vibe pulses in and out. Has anyone ever heard of something like this? I appreciate any help or idea's...

Well, I try to not drive at less than 1500 rpm in 6th, and not accellerate without a little more than that. If I was cruising at around 55-60, in 5th I don't notice the vibration but shifting into 6th at the same speed, I do. I think I can rule out tire issues, as they would surely show up consistantly. Also, at higher revs and speeds in 6th, the vibe picks up it's frequency so somehow it's speed related. I'm still clueless though...
