Anyone ever use Centerforce Clutch
Will be looking for a clutch for my C5 sometime in the near future...
One of the clutches that I have looked at has been the Centerforce DF395010 Dual Friction clutch
click here for link to clutch
anyone have any experience with this clutch?
My car is currently at 388/383, and plans in the future should put me at 500-550 rwhp..
opinions?

Yes, I had great luck with a Center Force clutch in my 289ci 65 FB Mustang. That 289 was built to 330-350hp and that clutch was very strong and I didn't need a leg like a sumo wresler to push it in!

I have the same clutch for my roughly 430rwhp z06. It grabs very nicely doesn't feel much different than the stock clytch except for a slightly smaller travel. It is a little noisy though at idle but no complaints otherwise. Priced right too!

I've got a Center Force DF clutch in my 61 which has a 383 stroker in it. Terrific clutch. It will handle horsepower. It's a little heavy and a bit louder than a stock clutch, but it's a very strong clutch.

Awhile ago, I did a lot of reading and research (thought I was going to need a clutch), and decided that this clutch was the best bang-for-the-buck out there...I recall that there were more than a few happy C5 owners with them...It's what I'll have installed when I )someday) need a clutch...

I just installed that clutch in my track/playday car. (C5 Z06) It has a 408 stroker. I had it on the track yesterday at an event in the Houston area - absolutely no issues with the clutch itself.

I never used one in a Corvette (yet), but used the dual friction CENTERFORCE clutches/flywheels in a few hot rod tri five Chevy cars over the years. Their plant is only thirty minutes away from me...

I have the 12" dual friction clutch with a Fidanza aluminum flywheel.......im around 500 rwhp, and it it performs well and revs quick due to the aluminum flywheel.

I have a friend with a 99 FRC with headers and a procharger. 480rwhp. He runs a RAM dual disc, and it is nothing but sweet. Plenty of grab, and no chatter. The pedal is not heavy at all. Great for dailydriving.

clutch
I was running a centerforce dual friction with my horsepower lever with a fidenza aluminum flywheel and it worked great. Handled the power and took all the abuse I could throw at it for about 2 years. You will love it. Jason

Installed that exact clutch with fidanza flywheel earlier in the year and it felt great, but wasn't fully disengaging. Tried an adjustable master with it and took it to the track...cut some easy 1.6s, but it wouldn't shift cleanly. So I pulled it back out and discovered it wasn't wearing fully, turns out it was machined incorrectly and there was too much runout on the pressure plate and sent it back. Don't know if it was part of a bad batch or just one bad apple, but I'd check yours before install to save the possible headache.
