Ok, i know it's posted somewhere on here, but it talks about TEMPERATURE CONTROLS on a DUAL ZONE system being out of index, actuators being changed, etc.

Here is my problem..................

When you select MODE for say "Center Vents" the air comes out of EVERYWHERE...........Even defrost makes the air come from the footwell.

I went into the service mode on the instrument cluster and had no codes for HVAC and reset the HVAC.
As it reset you can hear something going on behind the dash for a few seconds.

NOTHING.......

Pulled the battery, pulled fuses....NOTHING...

I'm suspecting it's the actuator that controls the DOORS that select WHERE you want the air to come out of...

Any hints????

Probably the vacuum line underneath the battery tray. Very common issue to become brittle, crack, or chaff on a wire bundle. Do a search, it's a common issue. Has the intake manifold off recently ?

You guys ROCK........I was WAYYYYYY off into actuators, indexing, fuses, codes and it was a vacuum hose all along...Sounds like that was the problem, can't wait till the weekend to finally get the vents pushing some serious CFM's!

No, never got the intake pulled...

It's a 98 so it MUST be brittle or leaking from somewhere.

I'll check it out and post feedback.
