Default Changing the belts

Hi all - how hard is it to change the two belts (fan and alternator)? Any special tools needed?

You need 1 wrench (15mm,I think, but maybe a 13),and it's easier if you get the front end off the ground about a foot(at least for the A/C belt)
Takes about 15 minutes .
Get Gatorback belts,they don't squeak.

If you are handy and have worked on other vehicles, you will not find this job difficult. The main belt is easy, the ac belt is more of a problem in that there are two steel lines in the way. Not sure if they are part of the power stearing rack, or for the auto trans cooling.
The tip to get it up off the ground is a good one, my rino ramps helped a lot.
Having someone around for the part where you sort of run out of hands, will also help too.

go from underneath with a long ext. and an impact swivel
then it's pretty easy if someone on top slides the belt into place

Yeah, the serp belt is easy, the AC one is a bit more difficult but not bad at all.
