Anyone have a part # and a place to find one or any tips on swapping it out? I put the car in park, went to put in drive and had no tension in the shifter. Pulled out the shifter to verify its attached at that end. I guess I snapped it at the tranny. I did a search and didnt come up w/ much. Any help is appreciated.
There is a small white plastic clip/retainer that fits inside the end of the linkage on the tranny side cable-These often break and the shift positions will be off and you may have no tension either---Most tranny shops carry them--It's a common part ---In my case when i had my trans built to a stage II --I forgot about the clip and lost it somehow and install my trans----It wouldn't shift--park was reverse and so on---
I went to the shop that rebulit it and they put one in for me-in 10 minutes---Check yours-----
tblu92, i raised the rear and found that piece wasn't attached. The hole was a lot bigger than it would seem...no way that would snap on. I guess some part of it broke/fell off (I didnt see any cracks anywhere). I pulled it off an plan on taking it to a tranny shop. Aamco should have this? Its common? How much? No dropping exhaust or nothing! Stealership was quoting 5 bills. Im pumped if this piece is readily availible. Let me know...Im heading out in the morning. Thanks again all!

I've got the parts, if you tell me which one is broken.
