I called Carrol Supercharging yesterday and for $2K then can upgrade my system to a stage 4. This would be 11psi of boost, larger injectors, LS6 intake and higher flow fuel pump then the stage 3. The increase would give me roughly 480 HP at the rear wheels.
Right now at a 16% drivetrain loss I'm making about 520 FWHP. Let's see, 480 at the wheels would be roughly 560 at the flywheel. Oh so close to that magical 600! They would need my car for 3 or 4 days.

Roughly 40 HPs for $2000. Try to work out a deal for a little cheaper. However, if this includes install it may be decent. But can't you get some HPs from some bolt-ons, powerloader, gears, etc for much cheaper.

11psi on a stock 10.2 compression stock bottom end would really scare me. I know caroll dont think its any problem whatsoever, but it is definitely pushing the limits of the stock bottom end in my opinion. If you do much racing or beating on your car I wouldnt expect the motor to hold together too long at 11psi.
A set of ARE Forced Induction Heads would drop your car's compression ratio down near 9.0 which would be much safer with that much more boost. Let me know if you want any info on these heads.
Untouchable- Yes that does include the install. That's the only reason I'm considering it.
MattG- I was thinking the same thing about the compression. That does seem like an awful lot of boost for that high of compression. I don't beat the car hardly at all. Just an occasional blast and that's about it. Right now, the car has just over 4,000 miles. Would that make things any different as far as it holding up?
I would never run that much boost on hypereutetic pistons. As I've posted on here other times even if you don't get detonation the cylinder pressure alone can crack the ring lands. I've seen it on LT1s before and I thought the LS1 had thinner ring lands.
Put the $2k in the bank for a bottom end fund. You'll need it eventually.

Like Matt said. I wish the FI Heads were a bit less $. For $2k you could forge the lower engine and reduce C/R. But the same point. Too much boost.
Fuel system upgrade? Upgrade that yourself. $2k for a pulley? or some other type??
Okay, I'll take your advise and stay with what I have. I guess if I'm gonna increase the boost I have to do other things to make it safe boost. For now, I'll just have to be content with what I have.
On another note, I've seen the LS1 intake for sale for $500. Would this give me any gains?
Re: Would you pay $2,000 for this? (QuickSilver97)
I cracked my cylinder wall and totalled a LS1 with my Carroll supercharger kit, and that was a tuned Stage1 kit with DEAD ON O2 readings. I would'nt trust it. Tell Greg I said hi though. As much crap as i've been through with the Carroll kit Greg has always been great and fair to deal with.
Damn Aaron, that's not cool at all! What was your driving style with the kit? Did you race it alot? As I said before I don't drive the car hard at all but can't imagine an occasional burst to 150 or so could really hurt anything. Then again, I'm pretty much a novice at this. That's why I'm asking before dumping more money into it.
