tire size question

Default tire size question
Hey guys, I have a 2001 C5 with stock 18x9.5 rims on the rear. My car has the stock 275/40/18 on it right now, but it is time to get some new tires. I would like to go a little wider on the rear if possible. I was thinking of going with the Nitto Nt555. What do yall think about that tire? What size should I go with? Thanks.

I had 295/XX/18 on my rear before I upgraded to a 20" rim.

295 is good and I've heard 315 is ok also but could be clearance issues depending on your suspension setup.
