The A/C compressor clutch is not engaging in my 00 coupe. I have had intermittent problems before where I could hear a click when the clutch was supposed to engage, but it just moved a tad and then did nothing. This would happen about every two weeks for a couple times in a row. Now I get nothing, no click, no clutch engagement. I do have voltage to the compressor when the A/C is supposed to be on. Are there any parts I can try to change before removing the compressor. I seems very much to be the clutch and not the compressor, so I would hate to spend all that money if there were a simpler fix.
I think that if there is not enough refrigerant in the system, the clutch will not cycle. Also, there may be an in-line fuse for the clutch.
Experienced a.c. people will probably chime in though.
MassaRusty, if you have good voltage on the DK GREEN wire, and a good ground on the BLK wire, tap the outer clutch plate with the handle of a screwdriver. If it pops on, you need to adjust the Air Gap between the clutch plate and the rotor. If that is the problem, let me know and I'll post the instructions, ok?

Ok, so I have a 2000 with the same clutch not engaging. Where is the clutch solenoid? I have power at the fuse #24. I need some help checking for power at the clutch. Is there a way to jump the clutch and force it on?
AC Compressor clutches don't fail often and the more usual causes are either too low or too high of refrigerant pressure. R134 systems are not like the old days of R12 where you could just add a can of refrigerant and be done for the day. R134 systems require a specific amount based upon system capacity AND ambient temperature. I would be looking at the two pressure switches first. Use an ohm meter on the compressor clutch leads to see if you have resistance. If you do, its probably good. If you don't, need a new one.
