This link has a couple pics of drill jig I had made to pin crank. Drilled 3/16 hole in crank and balancer and installed hardened pin. Does not require removing balancer. http://www.sharkskinz.com/z06/sc.htm

This may open a can, but i have been told that for a standard install, where the balancer has not been touched, you do not need to key.... Insallation due next week...

Any value in headers or LS-6 manifold Intake with the ATI S/C. I'm getting ready to add long tube headers and the LS-6, with plans for later this year or early next year for the S/C. Should I just wait and get the S/C without the headers?

How fast do you want to go ??
IMHO, save your money and don't do the headers. My guess is that headers (after SC) will only get you 20hp. At over 500hp, I doubt you will get a SOP gain. I personally don't want to push the stock motor beyond 500hp. Get the SC and be done with it. I say the same thing regarding the LS6 intake. Even though you may increase flow and lighten the load on the SC, it won't be appreciated that much. No if you were going for 700+hp then you bet, do all that with heads and cam and your there. But then you need a stonger bottom end and eventually drive train. Brings me back to square one, just do the SC and be done with it. But it all depends on your goals

I think that opinion is changing. And doing it offers alot of peace of mind. Not that big of a deal. http://www.sharkskinz.com/z06/sc.htm

01/ZO6 Install here & no keyed crank although I'm seriously considering that!
Wish I knew for sure if it is really nessesary as I hate have to tear everything
apart out again to get to the pulley. I already have a bunch of hours invested
in this install & eager to get on to the next phase, dealing with traction or lack of I should say. & yes I do have a set of TPIS headers on order :seeya
