Had my propellar shaft out and changed the couplers on the propellar shaft to the BMW ones but when reinstalling the prop shaft into the tube can not get the front bearing to line up properly?
Seems like the prop shaft is simply too short...
Have any of you guys had a similar problem and how did you solve it?
I saw the manual that one should just heat the bearing housing with a heat gun and then pull on the front shaft to re-stretch the rubber couplers but no success there either when tried that...
Help would be appreciated!

You simply slide in the re-assembled inner tube and and tap on it with a rubber or wood mallet.
From what you saying, I would verify the new couplers are the same size as the ones you removed (thickness wise).
Already done, exact same thickness, that is why I think they compress when try to insert it and tap on the shaft, problem is to get the front bearing into the housing although have been heating the housing as well...
It seems to be the press fit on the front bearing that is the problem although I heat the casing, when slide in the shaft in the tube and the front bearing gives some resistance and compresses the new rubber guibos and the front bearing only goes 1/4 into the housing...
