Fluid change

Changing my tranny and diff fluids. What fluid is needed and how many quarts/pints is needed???

Tranny (if 6spd) 3.9 litres. Dexron III
Diff 1.9 litres. 75w-90 SYNTHETIC gear oil and LS additive.

I would stay with the GM manual transmission fluid, Part #88861800.
Dealers do not carry Dexron III anymore, so the formulation you buy at a parts store may not be the same. Do not use Dexron VI.

Where could I find Amsoil 75w90 Severe gear oil and slip lock additive here locally in Houston? Autozone, O'Reilly, Napa, CarQuest, Advance Auto???

Redline D4ATF in tranny has been a good one for me. Rear diff is also Redline 75w90, has additive already in as its synthetic. Have also used Valvoline's synth gear oil.

Thats what I use and it works just fine as well as Mobil 1 synthetic LS 75w90 gear oil as well.
