Update: my tex' twin disk clutch is going, went to slowhawk performance to put the car on the dyno and saw the the clutch slipping on the graft. Tex is 3-4 years old. This dips into my 68 catalina repair budget so i'm going to go throw up now.
Are you saying this is the source of your vibration issues, or do you have two problems now?

Cut it out.You were not going to touch that old car.
His clutch is slipping under heavy load.Being an agressive clutch it chatters while slipping.I got it on the dyno under load and while it chattered the rpm shot to 6000rpm. 3 years isn't bad with all the traffic it was driven in.

i had the same sort of vibration not to long ago. I checked and fought it forever. turns out my rear tires separated in the sidewall. sounds like it wouldnt do much, but mine felt the same, like the car was coming apart.
also, might need the torque tube bushings replaced
