Default High RPM Miss

I've got a high RPM miss that I "think" may be related to the spark plug wires. Currently I'm using the cheapy wires from the local parts store. I've seen (and will search) that some guys are using a set of GM Performance Parts wires which usually run about $60. Any ideas if a better set of wires will solve the issue? If not, do you have any ideas?

It was first noticed on the dyno at around 6500 rpm. Sometimes it's perfectly fine, other times it'll miss.

This is a C5 Z06 with an LS2 shortblock, L92 heads, LS3 intake/TB/injectors/rails, custom cam 236/244ish, long tubes, catless X.

Currently using NGK TR5 plugs gapped at .045

The tuner didn't say anything about it posibly being a fuel issue, just commented that it may be an ignition issue, which was rare in these cars.

It could be fuel, but I don't know for sure.

Default Water

Wait till night time and raise the hood and fill a plastic spray bottle with water. Just spray the wires and see if they start to arc. It's a quick easy test with no cost to you. It may show you the problem without spending a bunch of time on it. It's just a quick check.

I posted on LS1tech also. My friend had the same problem on his F-body. He had a cracked coil. Something to look at, especially if its an intermittent problem. By the way he ran a 12.80 on 7 cylinders a couple of time then scattered his motor.

You could possibly find this problem the same way with spraying water.
