I've got a high RPM miss that I "think" may be related to the spark plug wires. Currently I'm using the cheapy wires from the local parts store. I've seen (and will search) that some guys are using a set of GM Performance Parts wires which usually run about $60. Any ideas if a better set of wires will solve the issue? If not, do you have any ideas?
Wait till night time and raise the hood and fill a plastic spray bottle with water. Just spray the wires and see if they start to arc. It's a quick easy test with no cost to you. It may show you the problem without spending a bunch of time on it. It's just a quick check.
I posted on LS1tech also. My friend had the same problem on his F-body. He had a cracked coil. Something to look at, especially if its an intermittent problem. By the way he ran a 12.80 on 7 cylinders a couple of time then scattered his motor.
You could possibly find this problem the same way with spraying water.
