I installed 60 count led switchbacks in new clear/black corners on a 02 z06. When I first started the car the running lights did not come on, when I turned the parking lights on the passenger side was white and the drivers side was amber, and when I turned the blinkers on the passenger side worked fine but the drivers side did not blink and stayed amber. This is driving me nuts, I'm almost ready to throw the stock ones back in. I have hid headlights with the in line resistor, and I also have the led flasher fix, which I tried bypassing just to make sure that wasnt the problem. Has anybody ran into similar problems like this? Do I need another resistor for the drivers side, cause the passenger side seems good.
The first pair of switchbacks that I got where from autolumination and they where all screwed up, they burned out, so I went with jw motoring
OK, I can't help then. I also bought the AL 60s and they blew fuses. Returned them for 48s and are working fine. Supposedly all AL's 60s had a problem in C5s, at least when they were first introduced.
Good luck with your troubleshooting. They do look when working properly.
weird thing, I turned on the car and the running lights came on, but the drivers side is white and passenger was amber, when I turned the lights on it switched, the driver side was amber and passenger side was white and the switchback on the driver side was not working with the blinker? I think im going to try another switchback or Im gong swaping the driver side for the passenger side to see what happens before I order another one.
I have an idea, on the one that's working bass ackwards. If you look at the wires coming out the back of the bulb, two are bent perpindicular to each other, those are the Grounds. The other two are offset and feed the White and Orange LEDs, I bet they are reversed by the sounds of it... See if you can bend each one to the opposite side of the connector from where they are now...
